About Computer Association of Nepal

Computer Association of Nepal, widely recognized as CAN, is a national apex body of Information Technology (IT) sector in Nepal. It was established in December 1992 as an autonomous, non-political, non- partisan, non-profitable and service oriented organization. Way back in 1992, it was incepted with the involvement of professionals, specialist, manufacturers, institutions and the related organizations of Computer and Information Technology within the country and was duly registered with Government of Nepal, District Administration Office, Kathmandu.

Since its inception, CAN has matured from strengths to strengths where in today it represents the unanimous voice of the IT sector in Nepal. It is also unwaveringly making efforts to exploit the notion of ICT as an engine of socio-economic turnaround of the country.
